Located at the center of the city at Mall Road, this ancient park also houses theGanesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Hall or the K.E.M hall and Ganesh Udyan building. Ganesh Udyan was previously the orthopedic hospital set up after the First World War.
The fact that these huge buildings are located in the premises of the park signifies its huge area and dimension. Since these buildings are centrally located, they are usually used for public meetings. A summerhouse and a public library also add to the buildings positioned in the park. The park is a host to the annual flower shows held in Kanpur.
